To give back to our community by carefully identifying and positively affecting persons, organizations and causes that align with the Christian values held by the organization.

George Sahadi Memorial Scholarship Fund
In 2017, the BGFA established the George Sahadi Memorial Scholarship Fund. The George Sahadi Memorial Scholarship is awarded by the BGFA to a deserving high school or college student. Generous donations and a portion of the proceeds from our BGFA Gathering events and Annual Scholarship Golf Outing support the scholarship.
2024 scholarship applications will be accepted March 1, 2024 through April 30, 2024.
Larry Vargo Memorial Scholarship Fund
In 2020, with generous help of the Vargo family, the Larry Vargo Memorial Scholarship was established. The Larry Vargo Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a deserving young person in the memory of Larry Vargo. Larry was a member of the class of 1980 and was inducted into the Lancers Forever Hall-of-Fame in 2018.
2024 scholarship applications will be accepted March 1, 2024 through April 30, 2024.
ChadTough Foundation
Since 2015, the BGFA has been a proud supporter of the ChadTough Foundation. The mission of The ChadTough Foundation is to fund research and raise awareness for Pediatric Brain Tumors with an emphasis on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
